MEET KATE FANSELOW

As her many satisfied clients can attest, there is no agent quite like Kate. She is a tireless worker, passionate, empathetic, caring and a fierce advocate for her clients’ interests. As a 10-plus-year resident of Barrington, she is also an enthusiastic champion of the community where she lives, works and raises her family and she brings a deep knowledge of the ever-changing market dynamics, neighborhood profiles and buying/selling trends. 

Kate’s overall philosophy can best be described as “client obsessed” and deeply committed to exceeding expectations and making the home buying/selling process as painless, stress-free and fun as possible. What’s more, Kate learned early on in her career that no two clients are alike. She prides herself on her ability to listen and truly understand each’s buyer or seller’s unique needs and then providing creative, strategic and custom-tailored solutions. As her motto says, “It’s about you.” 

Prior to deciding, in early 2022, to focus on growing her own business as a solo practitioner, Kate was a key member of a four-person team focused on luxury Barrington Area properties that, in 2021 and 2020, completed transactions totaling more than $70 million. During her time on that team, Kate developed a deep expertise in providing concierge-level client service and in closing complex transactions. 

Kate is an active member of the North Shore/Barrington Association of Realtors, the Hough Street School PTO and numerous local charity groups. She lives in the Village of Barrington with her husband Ed, her two children Penny and Teddy, and their two dogs.
